The method comprises steps that if an operation instruction for video shooting is received, at least two different code rates are employed to code a shot video to acquire at least two paths of different video data; if an operation instruction for stop video shooting is received, target duration of a target video acquired through shooting is determined; according to the pre-established corresponding relationship between the duration and the code rate, a target code rate matched with the target duration is determined; target video data is outputted, and the target video data is video data acquired through employing the target code rate to code the target video from the at least two paths of different video data. The method is advantaged in that the coding code rate can be flexibly selected according to the shooting duration, and thereby frame quality and the volume of video files can be both considered.
