The water purifier 1 has: a casing 22 having afilter 7 provided therein; and a base 4 having the casing 22 fitted and fixed thereto. The base 4 has formed therein: a first connection passage 46 that guides tap water from an inflow pipe 5 to inside the casing 22; a second connection passage 47 that causes purified water that has flowed into the filter 7 and had impurities filtered therefrom to flow out to an outflow pipe 6; and a bypass passage 48 that causes tap water that has flowed into the casing 22 to bypass the filter 7 and flow out to the outflow pipe 6. An opening adjustment mechanism 8 is provided in a side surface 41 of the base4; the amount of tap water the flows out to the outflow pipe 6 can be arbitrarily adjusted; and the proportion of chlorine component contained in the purified water can be easily changed.
