The all-day urine preservative includes p-hydroxybenzoic acid, polyethylene glycol 6000(or lactose and microcrystalline cellulose), sodium carboxymethyl starch, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide. The preparation method of the all-day urine preservative comprises the steps of preparing raw materials according to a corresponding proportion, and mixing the raw materials at the normal temperature to prepare powder or tablets, wherein the powder or the tablets can be applied to urine detection. The preservative can greatly inhibit bacterial propagation in to-be-detected urine, simultaneously keep the content of substances corresponding to to-be-detected items and prevent the situation that a to-be-detected urine sample goes bad and thus detection errors are generated. The preservative has a good preservative effect and can be more conveniently combined with a urine collector when being applied to urine detection in comparison with a traditional preservative.
