carboxymethyl starch hydrogel adsorbent. The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, gelatinizing cassava
starch serving as a
raw material in an alkaline
urea solution at a low temperature, crosslinking by utilizing
epoxy chloropropane, and performing
freeze thawing treatment to construct a stable three-dimensional network hydrogel skeleton; then, in an
ethanol water
solution system, carrying out alkalization and etherification reaction on the gel skeleton, and introducing a carboxymethyl group in situ; according to the method, an innovative strategy of first gelation and then carboxymethylation is adopted, through the space confinement effect of a cross-linked network, the technical problem that high-substitution-degree
carboxymethyl starch is easy to dissolve is successfully solved, the substitution degree of the prepared adsorbent reaches up to 1.43, and the prepared adsorbent is insoluble in water and has excellent swelling resistance and
mechanical strength. The adsorbent is high in
methylene blue adsorption capacity, high in adsorption rate and stable in performance within the
pH range of 4-11. The method is simple in process, low in cost and easy for large-scale production, and has a wide application prospect in the field of
water treatment.
