Abstract

The invention provides a base for fixing an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) chip. The base comprises a base body and a compensation adjustment screw. The base body comprises a first sub-base with a convex portion and a second sub-base with a concave portion. The convex portion matches the concave portion and is disposed in the concave portion. The first side portion of the second sub-base is provided with a chip channel and a protrusion protruding from the first side portion. The convex portion includes a first support plate and a second support plate arranged in a V shape. The first support plate is provided with a first groove at a side adjacent to the concave portion. The second support plate is provided with a second groove at a side adjacent to the concave portion. The compensation adjustment screw is arranged between one end portion of the second support plate and the protrusion. By cutting the base and configuring the compensation adjusting screw, when the AWG chip on the base changes by being affected by temperature, the thermal expansion and contraction of the compensation adjusting screw moves a planar waveguide so as to compensate for the influence of the temperature change on the center wavelength of the AWG.
