Abstract

The invention provides an animal database maintenance method, device and system. According to the method, a pre-established animal database comprises at least one species sub-database, and each species sub-database comprises a vocal print information base and a multimedia information base; when surrounding sounds are acquired, first vocal print information is extracted from acquired source sound signals and matched with vocal print models in the vocal print information bases in all the species sub-databases; if matching succeeds, the source sound signals are saved in the corresponding multimedia information bases; and then second vocal print information of all the source sound signals is analyzed, and the source sound signals in all the species sub-databases are clustered. In this way, thefunction of maintaining the animal sound database without the need for manual operation is achieved, the efficiency of collecting animal data in all regions is greatly improved, and meanwhile convenience is provided for realizing automatic statistical analysis of animal quantities in the collection regions and establishing individual databases of animal individuals.
