Abstract

The invention discloses a dynamic scalable system and method of a cloud application. The system comprises a data collection module and a scalable processing module. The data collection module is usedfor monitoring performance parameters of an application cluster. The scalable processing module is used for activating a pre-equipped application server virtual machine when performance parameters ofthe application cluster reach the pre-set elongation strategy and used for creating a novel pre-equipped application server virtual machine with pre-set scalable step size when determining that thereis no pre-equipped application server virtual machine available. If performance parameters of the application cluster reach the pre-set shortening strategy, one or multiple activated application server virtual machines can be removed or destroyed from the application cluster. Without evidently occupying resources, the rapidly and dynamically scalable effect of the application in the cloud environment is obtained. Reliability and availability of the application are improved.
