Abstract

The invention relates to a stress number-of-turn compensation method for ring tail fibers of a fiber optic gyroscope. Three technical measures are adopted in the method to conduct stress compensationon the tail fibers of optical fiber rings, wherein the three measures are as following 1, the bending radius of a specified number of turns of tail fibers is changed to achieve stress distribution compensation of the rings; 2, the winding tension of the specified number of turns of tail fibers is changed to achieve stress distribution compensation of the rings; 3, the colloid modulus of the specified number of turns of tail fibers is changed to achieve stress distribution compensation of the specified number of turns of tail fibers. By means of the method, good thermal symmetry and better stress distribution symmetry are both achieved, the non-reciprocity errors of the rings are effectively reduced, and the working stability of the fiber optic gyroscope is better ensured.
