Abstract

The present invention relates to a clamping device for ring-spinning machine and a process to improve the reliability of clamping the yarn during the doffing cycle. The clamping device comprises of inner piece, a cutter fixed on top of the inner piece, upper clamping element and lower clamping element axially slidable in opposite direction to one another, wherein the first spring is located between the cutter and the upper clamping device and second spring is located between the lower clamping element and spring cup, balls positioned on the radial track of the clamping elements, such that when the clamping elements are movable in opposite direction to one another at least one loading springs (5,7) and at least one load relieving balls (9) acts in opposite direction to the direction of the spring force, whereby the load-relieving balls is movable under centrifugal force when the spindle is rotating.
