Abstract
The invention discloses a method for detecting goat CTNNB1 gene insertion / deletion and an application thereof. The method comprises the steps that a to-be-detected goat whole genome DNA is taken as atemplate, a goat CTNNB1 gene is augmented through a PLC technology, then agarose gel electrophoresis is performed, and it is identified whether or not the goat CTNNB1 gene has insertion / deletion sitepolymorphism. The correlation analysis results of a large sample (N)600) reveal that significant correlation exists between different types of CTNNB1 gene insertion / deletion and traits of the firstlambing of Shanbei white pile goats, and it is prompted that the different types of CTNNB1 gene insertion / deletion can be taken as a DNA mark improving the traits of the firstlambing of Shanbei white pile goats. The method for detecting goat CTNNB1 gene insertion / deletion can be used in mark-assisted selection breeding of reproduction traits of Chinese goats, and is conductive to quickly building goat genetic resource groups with a trait of high-yield goat number.
