The invention discloses an LED backlight defective pixel repair method based on liquid crystal pixel compensation. The repair method comprises the following steps: constructing a backlight module model under a normal light source situation and a backlight module model under a defective pixel situation via drawing tools of optical simulation software and AutoCAD software; determining defective pixels of an LED light source in the backlight module model under the defective pixel situation; determining a backlight brightness value of a receiving surface of the backlight module model under the normal light source situation; determining a backlight brightness value of a receiving surface of the backlight module model under the defective pixel situation; normalizing the two backlight brightnessvalues to 0-255 orders; and implementing liquid crystal compensation. According to the repair method provided by the invention, the display effect of an entire liquid crystal display system under a backlight defect situation can be guaranteed to the greatest extent, so that the influence of the LED defective pixels in a backlight board on the entire liquid crystal display system is effectively reduced. Problems of a backlight diffusion model which is complicated and variable, difficult in calculation and the like can be effectively avoided via a liquid crystal compensating factor determined bythe optical simulation software.
