Embodiment 1

[0087] Embodiment 1: Timer-based switching configuration information management method

[0088] In this embodiment, the UE side manages the received handover configuration information based on a timer. In short, when the timer is running, the UE considers the received or stored handover configuration to be valid; when the timer is not running , such as timeout or stop, the UE considers the received or stored handover configuration invalid, or the UE releases / clears / discards the received or stored handover configuration information.

[0089] This timer may be referred to as a validity timer. Specifically, the implementation method in this example will be described.

[0090] In one embodiment, when receiving the first RRC message including the handover command sent by the source base station, the UE or the UERRC layer may perform the following operations:

[0091] 1. Start or restart the validity timer;

[0092] 2. Save the received switching configuration.

[0093] The ti...

Embodiment 2

[0115] Embodiment 2: Condition-based handover configuration information management method

[0116] In this embodiment, the UE side manages the received handover configuration according to some conditions. When the conditions are not met, the UE or UE RRC considers the received or saved handover configuration valid; when the conditions are met, the UE or UE RRC considers the received handover configuration invalid, or the UE or UE RRC releases the received or saved The saved switch configuration. "Release" here can also be expressed as "clear", "discard", etc.

[0117] Specifically, the implementation method in this example will be described.

[0118] Step 1, when receiving the first RRC message including the handover command from the source base station, the behavior performed by the UE or the UE RRC layer includes: saving the received handover configuration.

[0119] Optionally, the handover configuration includes all or part of the configuration in the RRC message inclu...

Embodiment 3

[0134] Embodiment 3: Handover configuration management method based on base station control

[0135] In this embodiment, the UE manages the received or saved handover configuration according to the instruction of the BS. That is, when the UE receives a handover command, the UE considers the corresponding handover configuration to be valid, and when the UE receives an invalid indication from the base station, the UE considers the corresponding received or saved handover configuration to be invalid, or the UE releases the handover configuration. Received or saved switching configurations.

[0136] The implementation manner of this embodiment is specifically described below.

[0137] Step 1, when receiving the first RRC message including the handover command from the source base station, the behavior performed by the UE or the UE RRC layer includes: saving the received handover configuration.

[0138] Optionally, the handover configuration includes all or part of the configur...

Abstract

The invention provides a method executed by user equipment UE. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a first radio resource control (RRC) message comprising a switching command from a base station; keeping the switching configuration in the first RRC message; and managing the switching configuration. The invention also provides the user equipment and the corresponding base station. The UE still keeps communication with a source base station before receiving the RRC message comprising the switching command and before carrying out switching, thereby reducing data transmission interruption time.

Description

technical field [0001] This application relates to the technical field of wireless communication. More specifically, the present application relates to a method for inter-device communication, as well as user equipment and a base station. Background technique [0002] In March 2016, at the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3rd Generation Partnership Project: 3GPP) RAN#71 plenary meeting, NTT DOCOMO proposed a new research project on 5G technical standards (see non-patent literature: RP-160671 : New SID Proposal: Study on New Radio Access Technology), and was approved. The purpose of this research project is to develop a new radio (New Radio: NR) access technology to meet all application scenarios, requirements and deployment environments of 5G. NR has three main application scenarios: Enhanced Mobile Broadband Communication (Enhanced MobileBroadband: eMBB), Massive Machine Type Communication (massive Machine Type Communication: mMTC) and Ultra Reliable and Low Latency Co...
