Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for obtaining tobacco flavor extracts, said method comprising: - rehydrating a tobacco blend in primary tobacco manufacture, heating said tobacco blend to a temperature between about 30 degrees Celsius and about 90 degrees Celsius , for a time interval of between about 30 seconds and about 1 hour; - recovering the effluent resulting from rehydration of the mixture; and - obtaining at least one fragrance extract from the recovered effluent. The invention also relates to a device for obtaining tobacco flavor extracts.
