Abstract

The invention relates to a design method for left turn non-motor traffic at a continuous flow intersection. The method is aimed at an intersection type which is the continuous flow intersection, the method is used for optimizing design of traffic path space and signal control of left turn non-motor traffic at the continuous flow intersection so as to eliminating conflicts between left turn non-motors and straight moving motor vehicles at a main signal position, and traffic capacity of the motor vehicles is improved on the basis of ensuring the safety of traffic; in an aspect of space design, astraight moving motor vehicle pre-stop line and a left turn non-motor vehicle crossing passageway are set at a pre-signal position of the continuous flow intersection according to the design method,a left turn non-motor vehicle lane is set between a motor vehicle exit lane and a left turn lane, and therefore a left turn non-motor vehicle passage space path is provided; in an aspect of signal control, control of the straight moving motor vehicle is increased at the pre-signal position, and a maximum vehicle throughput is an optimization goal; constraint conditions such as a phase sequence ofa signal phase, period duration, duration of each green light in all flow directions, saturation and the like are taken into consideration; a linear programming model is built for optimization.
