Abstract

The invention relates to a method for replacing a big gear ring of a main bearing of a tunnel boring machine. The method comprises the following steps that (1) the tunnel boring machine is retreated from the tunnel face to the predetermined position; (2) a cutterhead reinforced pre-stressed anchor cable and a cutterhead supporting embedded part are prepared, and a big gear ring containing side hole is excavated; (3) the tunnel boring machine is jacked from the predetermined position to the tunnel face; (4) the cutterhead reinforced pre-stressed anchor cable is connected to a cutterhead, and the cutterhead reinforced pre-stressed anchor cable is tensioned to the fixed position and locked; (5) a cutterhead supporting structure is fixed to the cutterhead supporting embedded part, and the cutterhead supporting structure is connected to the cutterhead; (6) the cutterhead is removed from a shield of the tunnel boring machine, and the tunnel boring machine is retreated from the tunnel face tothe predetermined position to separate the cutterhead from the shield; and (7) the first big gear ring is removed from the main bearing of the tunnel boring machine and placed in the big gear ring containing side hole.
