Abstract

A planting fork (22) enters the lower end part of a seedling mat (M), scrapes off a seedling (S), guides the seedling (S) downwards through a seedling passage port formed in a lower guide rail (28), and plants the seedling (S) into the ground. A seedling extraction guide member (50) is provided with a seedling front guide part (50b) and seedling side guide parts (50cl, 50cr). The seedling front guide part (50b) is: disposed so as to project downwards in front of a planting fork passage space, which is a space through which the planting fork passes after the tip thereof passes through the seedling passage port; and formed so as to follow the trajectory of the tip of the planting fork (22). The seedling side guide parts (50cl, 50cr) are disposed so as to project downwards to the side of theplanting fork passage space. The seedling side guide parts (50cl, 50cr) are formed so as to be connected at the base end thereof to the seedling front guide part (50b), and so that when viewed from the side, the spacing with respect to the seedling front guide part (50b) gradually increases towards the lower end part.
