Problems solved by technology

[0004] (1) Most of them are thermal error tests for machine tools under no-load conditions, and there are differences between test results and actual processing;
[0005] (2) The existing methods to reflect the thermal error of the machine tool by processing the workpiece are all aimed at the thermal error in the Z direction of the machine tool, but lack methods for the thermal error in the X and Y directions
And some methods require more professional equipment for detection, it is difficult to observe directly with the naked eye

Embodiment Construction

[0033] In order to make the technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the implementation of the present invention will be described below by taking a certain type of three-axis vertical machining center as an example and in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0034] A sample processing method for visually detecting thermal error changes of a vertical milling machine, the steps are as follows:

[0035] The first step is to prepare the workpiece and tool and determine the machining surface

[0036] Select a piece of aluminum alloy workpiece with a length × width × height of 150mm × 150mm × 120mm and a Four-blade end mill. Fix the workpiece on the table with a fixture. The three machined surfaces are identified as:

[0037] (1) Surface A is the upper end surface of the workpiece;

[0038] (2) Surface B is the side of the workpiece facing the positive direction of the X-axis;

[0039] (3) Surface C is the measurement surface where the work...

Abstract

The invention provides a sample piece machining method for visual detection of thermal error variation of a vertical milling machine. The upper end face and two adjacent side faces of a cubic workpiece are adopted as machining faces. In a cold state and different heat engine states, a set of minute cutting-in drilling machining is conducted on the upper end face. A set of surface milling machiningwith the width fixed and the height diminishing gradually is conducted on the two side faces. With a machine tool operating, thermal errors become larger; a set of annulus tool marks with the width gradually becoming larger are formed on the upper end face; and step-shaped surfaces are formed on the two side faces. The sample piece machining method for visual detection of thermal error variationof the vertical milling machine has the advantages that thermal error measurement is conducted by adopting the manner that a sample piece is practically machined, and the thermal error measurement iscloser to reality than no-load thermal error measurement; only one sample piece and one tool are used, and thermal errors in the direction X, the direction Y and the direction Z of the machine tool can be embodied through characteristics of the three machining faces; and according to the characteristics of the machining faces, machine tool thermal error level can be observed through naked eyes, noprofessional instrument is needed, and the sample piece machining method is significant for visual comparison of machine tool thermal errors in absence of instruments.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of thermal error testing of numerical control machine tools, in particular to a sample processing method for visually detecting thermal error changes of vertical milling machines. Background technique [0002] The size of the thermal error of the machine tool directly determines the machining accuracy of a single workpiece and the consistency of batch workpiece processing. Thermal error detection is the basis for thermal error evaluation and compensation. At present, most scholars at home and abroad are researching the thermal error testing method and modeling method of the machine tool under no-load conditions. But the actual processing will be different from the no-load. Aiming at the detection of thermal errors during actual machining, Japan’s Okuma Corporation proposed the thermal matrix method, that is, under different thermal conditions, the machine tool machined a notch with a depth of 2 μm along th...
