[0018] An impeller 1 according to the prior art for an impeller 2 of an exhaust gas turbocharger 3 is designed according to FIG. 1 . The impeller 1 is designed in the form of a compressor wheel. The impeller 2 comprises a compressor wheel 1 and a turbine wheel (not shown in detail), which is connected to the compressor wheel 1 in a rotationally fixed manner via a shaft (not shown in detail).

Abstract

The invention relates to an impeller for a turbocharger. The impeller (1) is mounted in a housing of the turbocharger (3) in a rotatable manner about a rotational axis (4) and has an impeller hub (6)with an impeller back (7) and an empeller front facing away from the impeller back (7), and a plurality of impeller blades (5) are formed on the impeller hub (6) so as to extend between the impeller back (7) and the impeller front. A balancing mark (12) is arranged in a blade channel (10) formed between a first blade (8) of the plurality of impeller blades (5) and a second blade (9) of the plurality of impeller blades (5), said second blade being arranged adjacently to the first blade (8). According to the invention, the width (B) of the balancing mark (12) is smaller than the length (L) of the balancing mark (12). The invention additionally relates to a turbocharger comprising such an impeller and to a method for balancing a rotor assembly for such a turbocharger.
