During a grid system single-phase grounding event, a controllable voltage source is controlled to output voltage for full compensation; detection is carried out to judge whether the grid system single-phase grounding event lasts for a preset time or not; if the grid system single-phase grounding event lasts for the presettime, the controllable voltage source is controlled to keep a phase of the output voltage unchanged and decrease an output amplitude; calculation is carried out to judge whether output current of thecontrollable voltage source exceeds a current amplitude by a preset times or not; if the output current exceeds the current amplitude by the preset times, detection is carried out to judge whether the exceed output current of the controllable voltage source lasts for a preset time; and if the exceed lasts for the preset time, the controllable voltage source is controlled to output for full compensation. Through the grounding fault current control method and device provided by the invention, the control of grounding fault current can be realized through adjusting output voltage of controllablevoltage sources, so as to flexibly processing singe-phase grounding faults.
