The commercial vehicle (10) comprises a braking system (20) configured to brake dissymetrically side wheels of the vehicle (10). The steering control system (100) comprises: a sensor unit (110) and a control module (120). The sensor unit (110) is configured to detect a braking request or a deceleration of the vehicle and / or to detect a lateral offset and, based thereon, to generate a brake indication signal (115) and / or the steering demand, and the control module (120) is configured to receive the brake indication signal and / or the steering demand (115). If the steering demand is below a predetermined threshold value, the control module (120) is further configured to generate the steering signal only if the brake indication signal indicates a braking request.
