Abstract

The invention provides a cylindrical hall thruster with a variable cross-section channel. The cylindrical hall thruster comprises a permanent magnet, an inner magnet core, a magnetic conductive base,a magnetic conductive member, an outlet magnetic pole, a ceramic channel and a positive pole. The permanent magnet, the magnetic conductive member and the outlet magnetic pole are ring-shaped parts and coaxial, and the inner magnet core is vertically arranged and located in the permanent magnet. The ceramic channel and the magnetic conductive base are separately connected to the upper end and thelower end of the inner magnet core, the outlet magnetic pole, the magnetic conductive member and the magnetic conductive base are connected from top to bottom in sequence, and the outlet magnetic poleis slidably connected to the upper edges of the magnetic conductive member and the ceramic channel. The ceramic channel is located inside the magnetic conductive member, an upstream part of the ceramic channel is a through channel, a downstream part of the ceramic channel is a variable section channel, and the positive pole is arranged at the bottom of the ceramic channel. According to the cylindrical hall thruster with the variable cross-section channel, on the basis of not affecting the ionization degree of a working medium, the problem that the performance of an existing cylindrical hall thruster is reduced due to increased interaction between plasmas and a wall surface is solved, the service life of the thruster is prolonged, and compared with the existing cylindrical hall thruster, the weight is significantly reduced.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a cylindrical Hall thruster, in particular to a cylindrical Hall thruster with variable cross-section channel configuration, and belongs to the field of cylindrical Hall thrusters. Background technique [0002] With the development of electric propulsion technology featuring micro-thrust, high specific impulse, and long life, low-power electric propulsion has become a very technologically competitive propulsion system choice for small satellites. Compared with traditional Hall thrusters, cylindrical Hall thrusters show great potential in the process of miniaturization of electric propulsion devices. [0003] The working mechanism of the cylindrical thruster is fundamentally different from that of the traditional Hall thruster. On the anode side, due to the magnetic mirror effect, the conduction movement of electrons to the anode is hindered; while on the cathode side, the electric field force is reflected back to the inside of ...
