Abstract

The invention discloses a target user gait recognition system and method in a daily environment. The system comprises a plurality of video acquisition units which are used for collecting and monitoring depth gait data and color data streams of all figures in the visual field of a camera in real time and sending the depth gait data and the color data streams to a data processing unit; the data processing unit is used for identifying a target user from the color data stream; for each video frame containing the target user, converting the facial position coordinate of each target user in the video frame into the coordinate of a camera space point; calculating each face position in the video frame, and marking a face ID corresponding to the face position on the skeleton closest to the face position; the video is cut into a plurality of gait segments, gait characteristics of a target user in each gait segment are extracted, whether the corresponding target user performs walking actions or not is judged through a classifier, and if yes, the gait characteristics of the corresponding target user are extracted.
