Abstract

The invention discloses a lane line detection method in a complex traffic environment. Firstly, mapping a video sequence obtained by a vehicle-mounted camera to a bird's-eye view containing road surface information; then, converting the color overhead view into a gray level image through a gradient enhancement method to achieve the purpose of increasing the contrast ratio between lane line pixelsand ground pixels; generating lane line candidate pixels by utilizing an edge extraction method; and then fitting lane lines by using an RANSC method, cutting out candidate lane line images from the overhead view for verification and semantic recognition, feeding back verified lane line parameters as geometric constraints of the RANSC, and finally estimating a vanishing point position so as to update external parameters of the vehicle-mounted camera. The method has the advantages of small influence of complex traffic environment and high detection precision.
