Abstract

The invention relates to an image retrieval method and device. The method comprises the following steps of establishing a local feature index file and a depth feature index file corresponding to an image library; on the condition that an image retrieval request is received, extracting the local features and depth features of a query image corresponding to the image retrieval request; retrieving the local feature index file according to the local feature of the query image, and determining a first group of candidate images; retrieving the depth feature index file according to the depth featureof the query image, and determining a second group of candidate images; and determining a retrieval result according to the distance between each candidate image in the first group of candidate imagesand the local feature of the query image and the distance between each candidate image in the second group of candidate images and the depth feature of the query image. According to the invention, the accuracy and the speed of the image retrieval can be improved.
