Abstract

The invention provides a coil component and an electronic device. The coil component can inhibit the generation of cracks. The coil component includes: an element body part including a magnetic material; a coil built into the element body part; an external electrode electrically connected to the coil and provided at least on a bottom face of the element body part along a side of the bottom face; and an external electrode electrically connected to the coil and provided at least on the bottom face along a side, opposite the side, of the bottom face; wherein the external electrode has a tip partfacing the external electrode; the external electrode has a tip part facing the external electrode; and a void is formed between the external electrode and the bottom face in a manner extending from the tip part.
