Abstract

And an optimal intrinsic mode function component is obtained according to the empirical mode decomposition process. The method provided by the invention solves the problem that the average value of envelopes actually separated from actual signal components is not zero. First, wavelet packet transform is used to preprocess network traffic. Network traffic is decomposed into a plurality of narrowband signals that exhibit more detailed network traffic characteristics. Secondly, the narrowband signals are divided into intrinsic mode functions of different scales, time and time-frequency domains by utilizing an empirical mode decomposition method. According to the method, the spectral kurtosis values of the intrinsic mode functions under the different scales are calculated so as to remove error components of empirical mode decomposition.
