The power control method of the shared household electrical appliances comprises the steps of acquiring the total line power capacity; acquiring the operating power of each shared household electrical appliance operating in a to-be-controlled building; calculating the total operating power of all shared household electrical appliances operating in the to-be-controlled building according to the operating power; and when the total operating power exceeds the total line power capacity, determining a to-be-processed household electrical appliance according to the operating power of each shared household electrical appliance operating in the to-be-controlled building, and sending a first control instruction for controlling the to-be-processed household electrical appliance to reduce the power to the to-be-processed household electrical appliance. The invention further discloses a power control device of the shared household electricalappliances. When the total operating power exceeds the total line power capacity, the shared household electrical appliance is controlled to reduce the power so as to reduce the potential safety hazards of the shared household electrical appliance and the to-be-controlled building.
