Embodiment Construction

[0017] The following description is merely exemplary in nature and is not intended to limit the disclosure, application or uses. It should be understood that throughout the drawings, corresponding reference numerals indicate like or corresponding parts and features.

[0018] refer to figure 1 , shows an air handling system 10 according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. The air handling system forms an integrated air handling unit, and for convenience it is hereinafter referred to simply as "air handling unit" 10 . In this example the air handling unit comprises a fan supply 12 having a plurality of fans 14 for drawing warm air from the indoor room environment. Unit 10 also includes a pair of condensers and IDEC (Indirect Evaporative Cooling) systems 16 (hereinafter "IDEC 16") each having a water injection 16a (hereinafter "injection 16a") ). The IDECs 16 are spaced apart from each other to form a hot air chamber 18 therebetween. Each IDEC 16 also includes a con...

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an air handling system having a fan supply for drawing warm air from a room environment, and a first indirect evaporative cooling subsystem ( IDEC) and a second indirect evaporative cooling subsystem (IDEC). Both an air chamber and a hot aisle are formed between the IDECs, wherein the air chamber communicates with the fan supply to receive warm air. The IDEC receives warm air and cools the warm air to generate a first cooling airflow and a second cooling airflow. The system also includes a spaced cold aisle adjacent each of the IDECs for directing cooling airflow into the evaporator section. The evaporator section generates a final cooling air flow that is directed back into the room environment.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority to U.S. Invention Application No. 16 / 154,128, filed October 8, 2018, and also claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application No. 62 / 576,990, filed October 25, 2017. The entire disclosure of the above application is incorporated herein by reference. technical field [0003] The present disclosure relates to cooling devices, and more particularly to air handling systems well suited for air cooling operations in data centers. Background technique [0004] The statements in this section merely provide background information related to the present disclosure and may not constitute prior art. [0005] Current evaporative free cooling ("EFC") installations are widely used in commercial applications for managing thermal conditions in rooms, such as in data center rooms, where relatively large volumes of air need to be removed from the room , cooled and resupplied to the room.
