Abstract

Methods, systems and apparatus comprising a computer program encoded on a computer storage medium for placement and scheduling of radio signal processing data stream operations. An example method provides a raw radio signal processing computational data flow graph that includes nodes representing operations and directed edges representing data flows. Partitioning the nodes and the directed edges of the raw radio signal processing computational data flow graph produces a set of software kernels that, when executed on a processing unit of a target hardware platform, achieve a specific optimization goal. Runtime resource scheduling including data placement of individual software kernels in the set of software kernels is performed to efficiently perform operations on the processing units of the target hardware platform. The resources of the processing units in the target hardware platform are then allocated according to a defined runtime resource schedule.
