The method comprises the steps of calculating collected numerical control machine toolspindle current signals to obtain spindle rotating speed; performing improved second-generation Kalman filtering order tracking on the vibration signals synchronously acquired with the current signals and the calculated rotating speed signals to extract each order component; and finally, drawing an order-time-amplitude three-dimensional order spectrogram and an order-rotating speed-amplitude three-dimensional order spectrogram. Aiming at the existing tachometer rotating speed calculation method and occasions and equipment which are inconvenient to install, the invention provides a three-dimensional order spectrogram which can calculate the rotating speed through numerical control machine tool main shaft current signals and then make a three-dimensional order spectrogram. The method does not need to obtain rotating speed pulse signals, and the calculation result is superior to that of an instantaneous frequency estimation method for obtaining the rotating speed; and the change conditions of the fault feature order and the feature order amplitude along with the time and the rotating speed can be visually seen in the three-dimensional order spectrogram.
