Abstract

The invention provides a device and method for setting backup ports of a network aggregation group in a PXE environment. The device includes a DHCP server, a PXE deployment server, a PXE client and a switch, wherein the PXE client generates and sends port data packets, and one of them is selected. A first mark is added to the data packet; the switch recognizes the first mark in the data packet, and sets the port corresponding to the mark as a backup port.
