Abstract

Provided is an air conditioner wherein electrolytic corrosion at the joints where pipes made of different types of metal are joined is easily prevented. This air conditioner is provided with: an outdoor unit having an outdoor heat exchanger; an indoor unit (20) having an indoor heat exchanger (25) and an indoor fan (28) which supplies air to the indoor heat exchanger; and a gas refrigerant connection pipe (GP) and a liquid refrigerant connection pipe (LP), which connect the outdoor unit and the indoor unit. In the air conditioner, a refrigerant is circulated through a refrigerant circuit in which the outdoor heat exchanger, the indoor heat exchanger, and the refrigerant connection pipes (GP, LP) are included, thereby air-conditioning a space to be air conditioned, which has the indoor unitinstalled therein. The refrigerant circuit includes: refrigerant pipes (21, 22) made of a metal material; the refrigerant connection pipes (GP, LP) made of a different type of metal material from therefrigerant pipes (21, 22); and joints (21a, 22a) where the refrigerant pipes (21, 22) and the liquid refrigerant connection pipe (GP, LP) are connected.
