Abstract

A serial peripheral interface (SPI) host (110) for transmitting data to peripheral devices in a data communication and processing system (100) and a method thereof are disclosed. The SPI master (110) includes a memory (111) including a list of packets, each packet including data associated with a time parameter indicating when the data will be transmitted to the peripheral device. The time parameter is configurable. The SPI master also includes a serial transmit and receive unit (112) for transmitting data at times according to time parameters associated with the data in the list.
