Abstract

A method of measuring a degree of degradation of a battery, a device and a method of managing a battery are provided. The method includes: determining a charging method when a battery starts to be charged; storing at least one of a charging voltage, a charging current, and a temperature when the charging of the battery is started; and when the determined charging method is constant current (CC) charging, determining that the battery is charged; determining a state of health (SOH) of a battery by comparing an increase in charging capacity of the battery with respect to an increase in charging voltage of the battery with a CC part SOH mapping table; alternatively, when the determined charging method charges the constant voltage (CV), determining the SOH of the battery by comparing at least one of an increase in the charging capacity of the battery and the charging time of the battery with the CV part SOH mapping table.
