Abstract

A display apparatus comprises: a cabinet; a light-emitting diode module provided in the cabinet; a communication unit for receiving, from an external device, a measurement value of surrounding air ofthe cabinet; a temperature sensor provided in the light-emitting diode module; a temperature adjustment unit for adjusting a temperature of the light-emitting diode module; and a control unit for, when a measurement temperature based on an output of the temperature sensor is lower than or equal to a dew-point temperature based on the measurement value of the surrounding air in a standby mode whichis a power-saving state, controlling the temperature adjustment unit such that a temperature of the light-emitting diode module becomes higher than the dew-point temperature, and when the display apparatus is switched to an active mode which is a normal power supply state, if a measurement temperature is lower than or equal to the dew-point temperature based on the measurement value of the surrounding air, driving the light-emitting diode module so that the temperature of the light-emitting diode module becomes higher than the dew-point temperature.
