[0046] According to aspects of the present disclosure, a detector array is provided for measuring a characteristic of light. The detector array may include a photodiode array, and a filter array disposed over the photodiode array. The photodiode array may include a plurality of photodiodes. The filter array may include a plurality of bandpass filters. Each bandpass filter can be positioned over a different photodiode. In addition, each bandpass filter may have a different passband than the others, thereby enabling an underlying photodiode to measure the energy of the light in the filter's passband. When the signals generated by the photodiodes in the detector array are combined, energy measurements for the entire spectrum of interest can be obtained. The spectrum of interest may encompass one or more of the visible, IR, and / or UV bands.
