Problems solved by technology

However, due to the low stiffness of the isolation layer, the isolation layer tends to have a large horizontal displacement under the action of an earthquake. Therefore, structures that use foundation isolation will leave isolation trenches around the building
At the same time, the study found that the attenuation of the vertical seismic action by the base isolation is very weak, and the low-frequency surface waves cannot be controlled and isolated
Base isolation is inefficient for large earthquakes and cannot accommodate structural changes

Embodiment Construction

[0032] The present invention is described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings: the square pile seismic surface wave metastructure unit cell includes a hollow square steel pipe (1), a rubber layer (2) and a concrete layer (3).

[0033] The hollow square steel pipe (1) is arranged first, and it is arranged at the core position of the seismic superstructure unit cell.

[0034] After the core hollow steel pipe (1) is set, the rubber layer (2) is surrounded on the outside of the hollow steel pipe (1); the outside of the hollow steel pipe (1) and the inside of the rubber layer (2) are closely attached.

[0035] On the outer side of the rubber layer (2), the concrete layer (3) is surrounded, so that the inner side and the outer side of the rubber layer (2) are respectively closely attached to the outer side of the hollow steel pipe (1) and the inner side of the concrete layer (3).

[0036] The upper and lower surfaces of the hollow steel pipe (1), the rubber...

Abstract

The invention discloses a square pile seismic surface wave meta-structure. The square pile seismic surface wave meta-structure comprises a hollow steel pipe, a rubber layer and a concrete layer; and the hollow steel pipe is of a square structure, the rubber layer wraps the hollow steel pipe, and the concrete layer surrounds the rubber layer. The designed seismic meta-structure is arranged on the periphery of a building foundation and is not connected with a building; seismic surface waves can be effectively controlled and attenuated on the premise of not changing the original building structure form; and the meta-structure is a periodic structure designed based on the phononic crystal theory, and has a band gap characteristic. When the seismic surface waves come, the seismic surface wavesin a band gap range cannot pass through the designed meta-structure. The designed seismic meta-structure can have different purposes; and besides effective control and attenuation effects on the seismic surface waves within the range of 2-16 Hz, the meta-structure has effective attenuation capability on all elastic surface waves possibly appearing within the range of 2-16 Hz.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a square pile seismic surface wave metastructure, which is a new structure capable of effectively attenuating seismic surface waves. Background technique [0002] According to statistics from the China Earthquake Network Center, there have been 836 major earthquakes of magnitude 6 and above in the past 100 years (1919-2018), with an average of more than eight earthquakes a year. The heavy casualties caused by the earthquake were mainly due to the collapse of buildings. After an earthquake occurs, the seismic source deep underground will radiate seismic waves carrying a large amount of energy in all directions. When these seismic waves meet the surface, energy travels along the surface, known as seismic surface waves. Rayleigh waves are one of the surface waves with a frequency between 0.1 and 20 Hz and are extremely harmful to man-made structures because the resonant frequency of buildings happens to be in this frequency rang...
