Abstract

A paper size sensing device comprises a paper guiding module, a sensing module and a control unit. The paper guiding module moves relative to the paper feeding disc. The sensing module comprises a contact element and a circuit board. The contact element is connected to the paper guiding module. The circuit board comprises a first conductor part, a second conductor part and a plurality of fixed resistors. The first conductor part comprises a plurality of conductor sections corresponding to the fixed resistors. When the paper guiding module moves to contact two parallel sides of the paper, the paper guiding module drives the contact element to move at the same time, so that the contact element is in contact with the first conductor section of the conductor sections and the contact element is in contact with the second conductor section,the fixed resistor corresponding to the first conductor section generates a resistance value, the circuit board outputs a sensing signal, and the control unit receives the sensing signal to obtain the size of the paper.
