The drive-by-wire gear shifting actuator comprises a shell, a driving motor, a first-stage speed-reducing and torque-increasing component and a second-stage speed-reducing and torque-increasing component, wherein the driving motor, the first-stage speed-reducing and torque-increasing component and the second-stage speed-reducing and torque-increasing component are arranged in the shell, the first-stage speed-reducing and torque-increasing component is connected to an output shaft of the driving motor, the second-stage speed-reducing and torque-increasing component at least comprises a worm and a grooving wheel, and the worm is provided with a transmission gear; the grooving wheel comprises a grooving wheel body connected with the transmission gear and a shaft sleeve which is connected with the grooving wheel body in a synchronous rotation manner and can be connected with a gearbox rotating shaft of a gearbox in a matched manner, and the driving motor is sequentially linked with the first-stage speed-reducing and torque-increasing component, the worm, the grooving wheel body and the shaft sleeve; and axial rotation of the worm is converted into vertical rotation, and the vertical rotation is perpendicular to the axial direction of the worm.
