Abstract

The invention provides a compressor which includes a casing (10), and a compression device (50) installed inside of the casing (10) and that compresses the refrigerant while rotating by receiving a rotational force of an electric motor (20) through a rotational shaft (30). A high/low pressure separation plate (90) may be installed at an upper portion of the compression device (50), and an insulation plate (100) may be provided to block the high/low pressure separation plate (90) and the suction tube (12) from each other by being located therebetween. The insulation plate (100) may reduce heat transfer between a refrigerant discharge space (V3) having a high temperature located at the upper portion of the high/low pressure separation plate and a refrigerant suction space (V1) having a relatively low temperature located at a lower portion of the high/low pressure separation plate.
