The method comprises the following steps: 1) carrying out preparation work before measurement; (2) lifting control rods one by one according to the rod positions of a critical test under a helium atmosphere until a reactor reaches a critical state and maintains a stable multiplication period, and recording the initial rod position H1 of the control rod before the control rod falls into an absorption ball and the initial multiplication period T1 of the reactor; 3) dropping a first group of absorption balls into the reactor core, lifting the first group of control rods to enable the reactor to reach a critical state and maintain a stable multiplication period after neutron counting is stable, and recording the rod position H2 of the current first group of control rods and the multiplication period T2 of the reactor; and 4) calculating the reactivity value of the first group of absorption balls.
