Embodiment Construction

[0029] Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Wherever possible, the same reference numbers will be used in the drawings and description to refer to the same or like parts.

[0030] figure 1 is a method flowchart of the operation method shown according to the first embodiment of the present invention. figure 2 is a schematic diagram of a memory device according to the first embodiment of the present invention. Please refer to figure 1 and figure 2 , the memory device 100 includes a non-volatile memory 110 and a controller 120 . The non-volatile memory 110 includes N partitions SG1 -SGN, and each partition SG1 -SGN has M storage units, and M and N are both positive integers greater than 1. That is, each of the partitions SG1-SGN has M bits. Wherein, the partitions SG1 - SGN have partition order among each other. The M memory cells in each of the partitio...

Abstract

The invention provides an operation method for controlling a nonvolatile memory and a memory device. The non-volatile memory includes a plurality of partitions. The partitions each include a plurality of memory cells. The operation method comprises the following steps: according to a plurality of incremental commands, a partition sequence and a storage unit sequence, executing a plurality of programming operations on the plurality of storage units in sequence; when a reading command is received, carrying out multiple times of reading operation according to the partition sequence and the storage unit sequence until the last programmed storage unit is obtained; and calculating a playback guard monotonic count value associated with the number of incremental commands according to the address of the last programmed memory cell.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an operation method and a memory device for controlling a non-volatile memory, in particular to an operation method and a memory device for a playback protection monotonic counter. Background technique [0002] In general, memory devices do not provide any protection against hardware attacks. Therefore, hackers can tamper with the memory device to modify the contents of the memory device. In order to prevent hackers from attacking, the memory device is designed such that user authentication must first be performed on commands sent to the memory device. Authentication is done by generating a signature that is authenticated by the user and the memory device. [0003] Replay-Protected Monotonic Counter (RPMC) is one of the encryption protocols. RPMC can be used to strengthen the security requirements of memory devices such as in applications such as the Internet of Things (IoT). RPMC will provide dynamic replay protection mono...
