Embodiment 1
[0052] Example 1: An 11.5 oz. per square yard meltblown fabric containing polypropylene fibers was prepared with a chemical wetting agent in the fabric. In the chemical wetting agent, the weight ratio of polyoxyethylene decyl alcohol:poly(ethylene glycol) monolaurate:octyl polyglycoside is 1:1:0.6, and the added amount is 0.7wt%. The chemical wetting agent was applied to the fibers according to the method generally described with reference to FIG. 3 . The absorbent properties of the webs were measured for various liquids using the spot test method described above. The results are shown in Table 1 below. The treated absorbent material has the following antistatic properties:
[0053] Surface resistivity (longitudinal, front): 5.48×10 10 Ω
[0054] Surface resistivity (longitudinal, anvil): 4.70×10 10 Ω
[0055] Static decay (50%, positive charge, transverse, anvil): 0.043s
[0056] Static decay (50%, positive charge, lateral, front): 0.020s
[0057] Static decay (50%, n...
Embodiment 2
[0060] Example 2: Preparation of 2 oz. per square yard of melt-blown fiber fabric containing polypropylene fibers with a chemical wetting agent in the fabric. The weight ratio of polyoxyethylene decyl alcohol:poly(ethylene glycol) monolaurate:octyl polyglycoside in the chemical wetting agent is 1:1:0.6. The amount (by weight) of the chemical wetting agent added and the results of the spot test on various liquids are shown in Table 2 below.

Embodiment 3
[0062] Example 3: A nonwoven web of polypropylene melt-blown fibers was prepared, with a basis weight of about 34g / m 2 , which contain chemical wetting agents. The chemical wetting agent included 1:0.6:0.3 (by weight) poly(ethylene glycol) monolaurate:octylpolyglycoside:sodium lauryl sulfate. The addition amount of chemical wetting agent is 1.9wt%, and the spot test time of the treated nonwoven fiber web is as follows: 25% NaOH is 1~2s, 40% NaOH is 25s, 75% H 2 SO 4 2~3s, 98%H 2 SO 4 3s for water and 1s for water.
