Abstract

The invention discloses a method for automatically correcting the measurement error of automobile headlight beam irradiation azimuth in horizontal direction which is used for full automatic detection of headlight on the automobile safety detection line. The invention utilizes a system composed of a CCD pick-up head mounted above the detection position, an image collecting card, a computer and a headlight detector to obtain the digital image of the automobile parking area in the real detection position, and process the image in the computer, and measure the offset angle between the automobile longitudinal axis and theoretic measurement direction, then correct the measurement value of headlight detector. The invention can diminish the measurement error, improve the headlight detection accurate rate and efficiency.
