Problems solved by technology

In the traditional technology, it is impossible to effectively change its UI operation in this kind of shopping server, such as displaying a simple indication of the shopping basket on the screen; adding a specific item to the menu screen of the browser; specifying an arbitrary key for a specific item, etc.
[0006] Traditional technologies cannot change the functions in specific situations (such as billing process), such as temporarily stopping browsing functions such as "back" or "forward", and these functions are common UI operations on browsers

[0066]FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the structure of a content delivery system according to a first embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 1 , the content distribution system of the present invention includes a terminal device 3 , a content server 1 and a base station 2 . The terminal device 3 and the content server 1 are coupled through the base station 2 to be able to communicate with each other through a wireless network. The coupling between the terminal device 3 and the content server 1 can be achieved through a wired network, in which case the communication will be achieved through the gateway server instead of the base station 2 . Although the present invention has described an example in which HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is used for communication between the terminal 3 and the content server 1, other arbitrary protocols other than HTTP, such as WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) may also be applied to other embodiments.

[0112] Next, a second embodiment according to the present invention will be described. In the first embodiment described above, the default UI operation program is used if no link information is found in the content. In the second embodiment, if link information is not found in the content, a specific UI operation program is obtained from keywords contained in the content. Hereinafter, the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 8 to 10 .

[0113] Fig. 8 is a schematic diagram of the structure of a content transmission system according to the second embodiment. In FIG. 8 , terminal device 3 includes data storage section 32 , terminal control section 33 , UI operation execution section 34 , display processing section 35 , output section 37 , input section 36 , transmission / reception section 31 and keyword database 81 . The content delivery system shown in FIG. 8 is the same as the system shown in FIG. 1 except that the terminal device 3 includes a keyword...

Abstract

A content transmission system capable of realizing UI operations which are adapted to each specific content which is transmitted to a terminal device is provided. In the content transmission system, a content described in hypertext is transmitted from a content server 1 to a terminal device 3 via the network so as to be displayed at the terminal device 3. The content contains program identification information. In the content server 1, a server controlling section 11 transmits the content stored in the content storage section 12 to the terminal device 3, and transmits a UI operation program stored in a program storage section 13. In the terminal device 3, a display processing section 35 displays the content which has been transmitted from the content server 1. A UI operation execution section 34 executes the operations described in the UI operation program which has been transmitted from the content server 1.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a content transmission system, and more particularly, the present invention relates to a content transmission system in which media content described in hypertext is transmitted from a server system to a terminal device. Background technique [0002] In recent years, information delivery services have become more and more popular along with information delivery services such as electronic mail. The information delivery service used here is a service that allows a server on the WWW (World Wide Web) to obtain media content (hereinafter simply referred to as "content") that may consist of text, image, audio, and / or other content via the Internet. Generally, a content is described in a content format compatible with standard technologies such as HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) or WML (Wireless Markup Language) used on the Internet. By using a mobile terminal or an information terminal such as a personal computer, and by ...
