Problems solved by technology

[0009] The disadvantage of this electrostatic sheet guide is that, by means of this measure, only sheets that have come to rest on the cylinder (stationary sheets) can be held
In addition, certain geometrical conditions must be observed so that the electrodes cannot be arranged randomly in the wedge-shaped space between the blanket cylinder and the impression cylinder

Embodiment Construction

[0030] FIG. 5 shows part of a printing unit of a sheet-fed offset printing press with an impression cylinder GD and a blanket cylinder GT. On the surface of the impression cylinder GD there is a printed sheet not shown in FIGS. 1-5.

[0031] A support 1 extends over the entire width of the impression cylinder GD, on which support a rod-shaped electrode 2 is mounted facing the surface of the impression cylinder GD accommodating the printed sheets. Depending on the direction of movement of the printed sheet on the impression cylinder GD, a blowing tube 3 is arranged in front of the electrode 2 and a second blowing tube 4 is arranged behind it. The blowing pipes 3 , 4 have air outlet openings as shown in FIG. 5 on the side facing the impression cylinder GD. Like this, by injecting compressed air into the inner cavity of blowing pipe 3,4, just can blow out air-flow.

[0032] The printed sheet on the surface of the impression cylinder GD is pressed against the surface of the impr...

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for fixing a sheet on the surface of an electrically conductive cylinder of a sheet-fed printing machine, especially sheet-fed offset printing machines. Said device comprises an electrode that extends along the entire width of the cylinder. A sheet located on the surface of the cylinder can be fed between said electrode. The invention aims at improving said device with the purpose of ensuring easy and reliable sheet guidance and enhanced printing quality. According to the invention, this is achieved in that a device (3, 5, 6, 7, 8) which feeds an air flow to the sheet located on the surface of the cylinder (GD) is mounted in front of the electrode (2) in the direction of advancement of the sheet.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a printed sheet guide according to the preamble of claim 1 . Background technique [0002] In sheetfed offset printing presses, the sheets to be printed are fed by a cylinder with grippers through the printing nip formed between the blanket cylinder and the impression cylinder. Between the printing units, the printed sheet transport also takes place with cylinders or rollers with gripper devices. In order to convey the printed sheet on the cylinder or roller as vibration-free as possible, many printed sheet guides are provided at various points of the printing press, which are guided on the surface of the cylinder or act as a guide by blowing air and / or suction. The printed sheet is guided on the sheet-guiding metal plate. [0003] For trouble-free printing, it is important that the printed sheet entering the printing nip (between the impression cylinder and the blanket cylinder) is accurately positioned on the cylinder, and ...
