Problems solved by technology

However, it is complicated to apply grease between the ball 54 and the serrated disc 50
Once the grease falls on the PCB20, the grease can penetrate other components mounted on the PCB20, thus causing the malfunction of the mouse
[0017] In addition, since the spring 52 and the ball 54 are inserted into the insertion groove 19 of the spring supporting member 16 by means of tweezers, the producer must be extra careful in assembling the parts, thereby reducing productivity.
In addition, traditional mice require many parts, so production costs are high
[0018] Moreover, the traditional mouse has a large scroll wheel structure, so the utilization efficiency of the space is reduced

[0029] As shown in the figure, the mouse of the present invention is designed such that its cover 200 is detachably mounted on the main body 100 . The roller 300 is rotatably installed at a predetermined position on the front of the main body 100 . At this time, the roller 300 protrudes from the housing 200 in an exposed form. The user scrolls the scroll wheel 300 by touching the exposed ...

Abstract

An optical or ball mouse has a wheel 300 rotatably supported by two wheel shafts extending from either side of the wheel, and serrations 304 formed on an inside portion of the external surface of a first wheel shaft 302. In one embodiment (not illustrated), a locking projection at a wheel shaft support engages the serrations for a wheel click sensation. The wheel is set between the light emitting / receiving elements 124,125 too detect radial openings 306 and ribs 308 of the wheel. In another embodiment, the locking projection 146 is provided at a side surface of the upper portion of a wheel base 140. The wheel base rotatably supporting the first wheel shaft 302, and is mounted for vertical movement between ribs 114. A wheel button switch 123, two mouse button switches 121,122 and the light emitting / receiving elements are mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB). Two support ribs 112 extend upwardly to rotatably support the second wheel shaft. A spring 310 upwardly biases the wheel. The serrations and locking projection may be made of the same material to reduce abrasion and the need for grease.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention generally relates to a mouse, and particularly relates to a mouse with an improved assembly structure of its scroll wheel and the improved assembly method of the mouse scroll wheel, so that the user can further perceive the movement of the scroll wheel while scrolling with fingers. Background technique [0002] As is well known to those skilled in the art, the mouse is an integral part of the computer. A mouse is a pointing device, as opposed to a keyboard, which is used to enter data directly into a computer. That is, the mouse is used to indicate programs on the display screen and click to execute the selected program. [0003] This kind of mouse is divided into two kinds, namely ball mouse (ball mouse) and optical mouse (optical mouse). The ball mouse is operated by rolling a ball contained in the mouse. Optical mice, on the other hand, operate by using light to sense their movement. More recently, ball mice have evolved to...
