Embodiment Construction

[0023] figure 1 A sectional view of a delivery unit 2 arranged in a fuel tank 1 of a motor vehicle with a fuel pump 4 arranged in a swirl box 3 is shown. The fuel pump 4 is held by a pump bracket 5 which is supported on the swirl box 3 . Furthermore, the fuel pump 4 has a seal 6 which, with the free end of a sealing lip 7 , is supported on the bottom of the swirl box 3 in the region of the opening 9 closed by the foot valve 8 . The pump holder 5 and the seal 6 together form a device for holding the fuel pump 4 in the swirl box 3 . The pump bracket 5 has a first holder 10 which is supported on the swirl box 3 and a second holder 11 which holds the fuel pump 4 . The holders 10 , 11 are produced in one piece with the damping device 22 . The first holders 10 are connected to each other through the ring part 12 and connected to the first vertical arm 13 . A horizontal arm 14 designed as a ring-shaped part is connected to the first vertical arm 13 . The first horizontal arm 14 ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a device which is used to retain a fuel pump (4) in a fuel container (1) of a motor vehicle. The pump holder (5) is completely made of plastic according to an injection moulding method. Retaining means (10, 11) which are used to join the pump holder (5) to the fuel pump (4) and to a baffle pot (3) are connected to each other by arms (13-16) which are oriented away from each other. The arms (13-16), which are orientated away from each other, form a cardanic frame which dampens vibrations from the fuel pump (4).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a device for holding a fuel pump in a fuel tank of a motor vehicle, comprising: a pump bracket; a first holder of the pump bracket for supporting on a fixed part, in particular on a swirl box The second holder of the pump bracket is set for supporting the fuel pump; the shock absorber is used to connect the first holder and the second holder with each other, wherein the holder is made of plastic. Background technique [0002] In today's motor vehicles, it is necessary to avoid a rigid support of the fuel pump in the swirl box so that the noise generated during the operation of the fuel pump is not transmitted to adjacent components. For this purpose, a rubber part is known in practice which is arranged between the first holder and the second holder. A holder made of plastic is used to securely connect the pump bracket to the fuel pump and the swirl box. Therefore, the noise generated when the fuel pump is running is only atte...
