9 results about "Raster image processing" patented technology

A raster image processor is a processing tool or resource for raster or bitmap graphics. In handling raster images, a raster image processor works with sets of pixels or bits that are programmed for monochrome or color display. This type of tool often sends the processed image to a printer or handles the transfer between various types of hardware.

Methods and printing system for intelligently handling job rendering

A printing system includes a printing device that receives print jobs. The printing device includes a controller having a raster image processing (RIP) system and a preflight application. The RIP system renders a plurality of pages of a print job. The controller determines that a source page of the plurality of pages includes an error that causes the page to fail to render. The source page is provided to the preflight application. A data file having the source page is opened in the preflight application. The preflight application corrects the error on the source page to generate a corrected page. The corrected page replaces the source page of the plurality of pages of the print job. The corrected page is rendered using the RIP system and printed with the plurality of pages of the print job.

Overprinting graph processing method, industrial printing control method and system

The invention provides an overprinted pattern processing method, an industrial printing control method and an industrial printing control system. The overprinted pattern processing method comprises the following steps: decomposing a target overprinted pattern into N printing layers, and defining alternating forward / reverse translation direction attributes for each printing layer; performing grating image processing on each printing layer to generate bitmap image data; y-axis mirror image overturning preprocessing is carried out on bitmap image data of the printing layer with the translation direction attribute being the reverse direction; and embedding registration mark pixel data in the first layer bitmap image data. According to the industrial printing control method, the UV flat plate ink-jet printing equipment is controlled to execute overprinting based on the processing result, printed materials are adsorbed and fixed to the same platform in the whole process, printing of all printing layers is sequentially completed through forward and reverse alternating translation of the platform along the Y axis, and interlayer alignment is completed through registration marks and a visual alignment system. According to the invention, the bitmap image data of the overprinted graph is adaptive to the forward and reverse alternate translation printing mode, and the position deviation introduced by layer-by-layer loading and unloading is eliminated.

Methods and printing system using sub-page parallel rendering

A printing system includes a printing device having a raster image processing (RIP) system. The printing device includes a controller to implement the RIP system. A manager of the RIP system configures RIP instances to process different levels of page complexity of a job. The RIP system evaluates the pages in the job to determine whether one or more pages that are complex. If a page is complex, then sub-page parallel processing is used to divide the page into portions, such as bands or tiles, that are then provided to the RIP system for parallel processing by a corresponding number of RIPs. A processing model may be used to determine whether a page is complex and the parameters for the sub-page parallel processing.

Methods and printing system for enhanced job submission in a printing system

A printing system includes printing devices that receive print jobs. A printing device includes a controller having a raster image processing (RIP) system. The controller of the printing device receives a file for a job through a user interface connected to the controller. The controller uploads the file for the job. A simplified user interface is displayed that corresponds to the controller during the uploading of the file. The simplified user interface includes a defined subset of print ticket settings for the job. The controller receives one or more print ticket settings of the defined subset of print ticket settings within the simplified user interface to apply to the job. The controller releases the job for operations within the printing device upon receipt of the one or more print ticket settings and the uploaded file.

Methods and printing system for configuring raster image processing for printing operations

A printing system includes a printing device having a raster image processing (RIP) system having an allocated amount of memory to support a plurality of RIP instances. The printing device includes a controller to implement the RIP system. A manager of the RIP system configures RIP instances to process different levels of page complexity of a job. The RIP system evaluates the pages in the job to determine one or more pages that are complex. A complexity level is determined for the complex page. The RIP system assigns the complex page to a RIP instance corresponding to the complexity level. The RIP system may configure the number and types of RIPs based on the allocated amount of memory.

Color matching method, device, equipment and storage medium for printing equipment

The application discloses a color tracking method and device for a printing apparatus, an apparatus and a storage medium, and relates to the field of inkjet printing technology. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a second image by performing image processing on a first image to be printed according to a preset color tracking curve through a preset raster image device; performing raster processing on the first image and the second image respectively and sending the first image and the second image to corresponding first and second printing apparatuses for printing, so that a printed image with consistent colors is obtained. The method is equivalent to adding a preset raster image processing device at the front end of a raster image processing device of a host computer, and the color tracking process is completed in the preset raster image processing device, so that repeated adjustment of a color management curve of the second printing apparatus for color tracking is avoided, color matching is completed without changing the state of the apparatus, the threshold for an operator is greatly reduced, and enterprise costs are saved.

Methods and printing system for using optimization operations in printing operations

A printing system includes a printing device having a raster image processing (RIP) system. The printing device includes a controller to implement the RIP system. A manager of the RIP system configures RIP instances to process different levels of page complexity of a job. The RIP system evaluates the pages in the job to determine one or more pages that are complex. An optimization operation is selected to apply to a complex page to optimize the page to reduce rendering time in the RIP system. If the optimization operation is not effective, then the RIP system launches a configured RIP to render the complex page. A neural network model is trained to select the optimization operation.
