A transmitting apparatus includes a disengaging device that disengages a driving force from a front-wheel differential device to a first driving-force transmitting direction converting unit 20 and a multi-plate clutch mechanism provided between an output of a rear-wheel differential device and a right-rear wheel and capable of successively adjusting a fastening force. Drag torque when the fastening of the multi-plate clutch mechanism is released is set smaller than friction torque of a rear-wheel drive system between the first driving-force transmitting direction converting unit and a second driving-force transmitting direction converting unit. A controller unconnects the disengaging device and releases the fastening of multi-plate clutch mechanism when switching to a two-wheel drive mode, thereby stopping the rotation of the rear-wheel drive system.

A transfer case for a vehicle that allows shifting between AWD and two-wheel drive at any vehicle speed. Provided is a drive control device for a standby four-wheel drive vehicle having primary drive wheels coupled to a drive source including a motor generator that generates a regenerative braking torque and a clutch device disposed between the drive source and secondary drive wheels to switch a two-wheel drive state using the primary drive wheels and a four-wheel drive state using the primary drive wheels and the secondary drive wheels, including: a transmission torque control portion that causes the clutch device to set a transmission torque between the drive source and the secondary drive wheels to zero so as to allow only the primary drive wheels to perform regenerative braking if a request braking torque of the vehicle is equal to or lower than a predetermined primary-drive-wheel regeneration limit torque during the regenerative braking by the motor generator, the transmission torque control portion causing the clutch device to generate the transmission torque between the drive source and the secondary drive wheels so as to allow the primary drive wheels and the secondary drive wheels to perform the regenerative braking if the request braking torque exceeds the primary-drive-wheel regeneration limit torque.

The electric vehicle four-wheel drive system comprises: a front wheel drive subsystem for driving front wheels in motion to push the electric vehicle; a rear wheel drive subsystem for driving rear wheels in motion to push the electric vehicle; a front wheel automatic wheel-side clutch arranged between a front transmission shaft and the front wheels to engage or disengage the front wheel drive subsystem; a rear wheel automatic wheel-side clutch arranged between a rear transmission shaft and rear wheels to engage or disengage the rear wheel drive subsystem; a vehicle controller for, based on operation parameters of the electric vehicle, controlling engaging or disengaging action of the front wheel automatic wheel-side clutch and engaging action or disengaging action of the rear wheel automatic wheel-side clutch, and controlling output power of the front wheel drive subsystem and output power of the rear wheel drive subsystem. The embodiment provides improved dynamic property and energy consumption index and optimized space, and considers both dynamics and economy of a vehicle.
